Stout Energy Supports Testing and Commissioning of 100 EV Chargers for ADEK School Projects
Stout Energy is excited to announce our involvement in the successful testing and commissioning of 100 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers across five of the latest ADEK school projects in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. These projects, part of Aldar's latest educational developments for ADEK (Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi), were led by Nael General Contracting as the main contractor.
Each school has over 20 EV chargers placed underneath Solar PV car parking shades. The integration of Solar Car parking shades with EV chargers doubles down on the sustainability objectives of the project.
Stout’s role in this initiative focused on ensuring that the EV chargers met the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. A Tesla Model 3 which belongs to Stout Energy’s own fleet of electric vehicles was used for testing. Stout Energy is on track to convert 100% of its company fleet to electric vehicles by 2030. “We're immensely proud to have contributed to this green initiative, as it perfectly aligns with our core mission at Stout. EVs are the future and setting up the right EV charging infrastructure will be key in enabling this technology,” said Sarath Karottu, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Development at Stout Energy.
Thorough assessments and rigorous testing protocols, simulating various charging scenarios were performed to ensure reliability. This meticulous process was vital in ensuring that the chargers would perform seamlessly, delivering dependable service in line with the project's sustainability goals.
Overcoming Challenges with Expertise
Stout Energy helped the project achieve its Estidama Sustainability goals through the Supply and Installation of High-Efficiency Chilled water HVAC systems. Given the complexity of coordinating activities across multiple sites, Stout Energy faced the challenge of maintaining consistent quality and meeting the stringent deadlines associated with school project completions. Our team's experience and technical expertise were key in overcoming these challenges, allowing us to deliver the project on time and to the exact standards expected by all stakeholders.
Impact and Educational Value
The successful testing and commissioning of these EV chargers is a significant milestone in advancing sustainability within the UAE's educational sector. By integrating this infrastructure into schools, the project not only supports the increasing adoption of electric vehicles but also serves as a tangible demonstration of sustainable practices to students, parents, and the wider community.
Looking Ahead
At Stout Energy, we are committed to driving sustainable solutions across the construction industry. Our collaboration with Nael General Contracting on these school projects exemplifies our dedication to helping clients achieve their sustainability objectives. We are proud to have contributed to this initiative, which aligns with the UAE's broader goals for a greener future.
As we continue to expand our portfolio of sustainable projects, we look forward to further partnerships that promote the adoption of eco-friendly technologies throughout the region.
